Worshop: Abstract
What do we (do not) know about mutual help in local communities
Modern and post-modern person moves between the need of own individual freedoms on the one hand, and the need of safety and belonging on the other hand. It seems that the difficulty of the current community work is facing, among other factors, the effects of these different life expectations. Is it possible to find such approaches and actions that would bridge these two poles? The seminar will attempt to offer views on possible solutions to the dilemma and give examples from specific locations. Workshop participants will be given the opportunity to discuss different models of community activities and the community ways of resolving the situation..
