Reflecting teams

Reflecting teams are used as a way of working with people in different settings – most often in psychotherapy where they actually came from. There is a lot of varieties of reflecting teams but in Narativ we use it this way: except for the practitioner and a client, there is a team of other people (3-5 in number) in the consultation room who attentively listen to the conversation and in the moment when they are asked by the practitioner, they share their thoughts, impressions, reflections with each other (and aloud in front of the practitioner and a client). After their conversation is finished the client has a possibility to talk about what he or she heard. There is a lot of texts on reflecting teams on internet, i.e. you may check a paper of Kristen Vega here.

Within Narativ, there is a possibility to take part in reflecting teams organised by Katka Novotná and Pavel Nepustil. A basic understanding of theory and practice of reflecting teams (i.e. 2-day workshop) and a basic experience in the practice field or an enrollement in a university program are required.

The participation is free of charge. Pavel and Katka have an updated list of participants and when they make an agreement with the client that he or she wants the reflecting team to take part, they are sending a message to the list with a date and time. The consultations are mostly in Czech but if you speak only English, we may try to find a way... You may contact us at:
